   1. Development of local technology for the production of alum from local raw materials e.g. kaolin.
   2. Production of Plaster of Paris from gypsum.
   3. Production of corn starch from maize grain for use in the pharmaceutical and textile industries.
   4. Mops for petroleum products spillages with characterized natural and biodegradable absorbents.
   5. Formulation of all varieties of ink from dyestuffs.
   6. Development of biocides for hides, skins, and leather preservation from natural and synthetic materials.
   7. Application of the husks of Parkia clappertoniana and Anarcordium occidentale (cashew nut) testa as tanning and retaining agents.
